Car ferry from PTown to Boston?

Hi all

Please can you advise if the above is possible? I am finding it difficult to find current information. We will be spending 2 nights in PTown- arriving October 6th. We will have a hire car and need to get back to Logan airport for our flight home.Am I correct in thinking it will take us about 2-3 hours to drive? If there is a ferry how long will it take?

Thanks in advance

Eve

No car ferries to Provincetown exist ... No matter what the starting point.

A trip with no traffic is about 2.5 hours. Depending on the time of your flight, there may very well be traffic. For something important like a flight, I would plan more than 3 hours

The Fast Ferry between Boston and Provincetown doesn't carry cars, just people. I think it stops running October 13-its a great way to travel, takes less than 2 hours. Its pretty hard to park in Provincetown too so if you can manage without a car,the ferry would be a great option. Maybe rent a car when you get there if you need it.

Not sure what time your flight is, but weekdays morning traffic in Boston is bad. It will take you 3 hours minimum to get to Logan, and that is pushing it depending on time of day. It is about 130 miles, and not all the driving is 60 MPH.

No need for a car for a short visit to P-town. Drop the car off at the airport and take a cab, bus or water taxi to the Bay State Cruise terminal near the World Trade Center. There are very clear directions on their website. The ferry ride is a relaxing way to get to P-town without having to deal with the traffic! And, be sure and keep your eyes open for whales and dolphins!
