Mijas for first time

Hi

I have looked at MIjas a few times as it appears very similar to Nerja where we have holidays & enjoyed for many years. I think it is a lot smaller through so i'm wondering if its somewhere you can holiday for a full week. We don't drive abroad so we would be there all the time. Is there enough bars & restaurants to keep us going ? we have also been to Benalmadena Pueblo which may be similar ?

any advise would be greatly appreciated

Ailsa

Mijas Pueblo is larger than Benalmadena Pueblo.

There are plenty of bars/restaurants.

You can always hop on a bus to visit the coastal resorts.

I have taken a few photographs of Mijas Pueblo https://flic.kr/s/aHskTdbiEV you will find many bars and restaurants to keep you busy for a week and not visit any of them twice .

I have looked through them - wow they are lovely

streets remind me of Nerja / Frigliana / Maro and yes I think if we can spend a week in Benalmadean Puablo we will have no problem filling our days up in Mijas

thanks again much appreciated - i'm back on track for booking an apartment

Mijas Pueblo has more than enough to keep you going! What time of year are you going? 7-12 September is their feria and its fabulous, we were there for the whole week this year (2nd time) and had one day in Benalmadena meeting up with friends but were kept busy wandering around the pueblo and enjoying the day and the evening feria's. I've done a blog on our holiday.

.... and if you fancy a change hop on the bus down the hill to Fuengirola bus station (€1.55 each way) and you are right by train station as well. Easy trip on public transport from airport or to visit beautiful Malaga, Marbella and lots more. You will have a ball in Mijas.
