Skiing Red River with kids for first time.

Any suggestions? Best place to rent gear? Snow tubing? Best place for private lessons for kids 8 and 12? Restaurants?

Most of your questions can be answered on their website. https://www.redriverskiarea.com/ Lesson on the mountain are only offered by the ski area. Renting gear is best right at the base of the mountain so you don't have to carry to and from your lodging. Dining options https://redriver.org/dining . Possibly a trip to Taos for some additional dining options.

Just use the website given to you.

Very helpful folks working there. The instructors are very calm and caring for everyone.Just great teachers.

Snow tubing is only done in a specific place,at 4:30 pm.

If you keep your gear overnight.Keep your boots inside of your house. They will shrink down in the cold.

I am here now.there is not much snow. The top of the mountain just opened up yesterday.
