Question Please

My wife and I want to stop and see the falls this October while we are on our way east. How long would it take just to view the falls and take some pictures. We really don't have much time to explore, we have reservations that night in Lake placid. We will be coming from Niagara falls. Is this doable or will we have to skip this gem. Thank you!

The park isn't really on the way to Lake Placid and making the detour adds a lot of time and you will have shorter days in October. Since I don't know your tolerance for long drives, I won't advise you either way about skipping it.

Yes I think you are right. The more I look at it and the drive, I think we will skip Letchworth. Maybe some other time. Thanks for the advice.
