You posted in the forum for the town of Hudson.

We spent a week driving from Tarrytown to Kinderhook and back.

I recommend getting a guidebook to figure out what appeals to you.

There used to be a Hudson Valley forum, but I don't see it anymore. I would visit Hyde Park for the Roosevelt, Vanderbuilt and Mills mansions. Also the town of Rhinebeck. Olana in Hudson is also worth visiting.

I have three days to explore. Hope to get up to Albany but not essential. This is a fun road trip. Love cute towns, pretty locations. Open to anything.

If you're into mansions, historic and stately homes, there are several on the East Side of the Hudson River. The Roosevelt House, Val-Kill, the Vanderbilt Mansion, Clermont Estate to name a few.

On the West Side of the Hudson, Woodstock and Saugerties are some nice small towns to walk around.

FYI ... while Woodstock is a nice town to walk around in, it is in the Catskills not the Hudson Valley. If this area of the Catskills is in the mix, I would add Kaaterskill Falls to the list of attractions.
