we were in bryson city this past summer and stopped at a general store that had alot of shirts advertising a local moonshiner.I asked the owner if he sold the moonshine there and he laughed and said not legally.he said the moonshiner was localy famous .I dont remember the moonshinerz name but im sure the localz will and im wondering if he ever went legal so his moonshine could be purchased.

Nope. Moonshine.

The seller was very proud of leaving it as a gift.

We also were left a tub of cracked corn for the turkey who lived at the curve on the road.

The turkey was a menace. It would chase cars to "protect" his territory.

After he spurred a neighbor who was running, he disappeared shortly afterwards.

It did happen to be close to Thanksgiving. ;)

Corn grows well in the mountains. You use it as you can. :-)
