are drinks comped while playing slots and table games?
Drinks are not comped at Harrah's.
Soft drinks are coped to players
Not only are alcoholic beverages NOT comped, but be prepared to spend a fortune on drinks if you plan on imbibing. They are quite expensive; however, you can order a double or a tall at a greater cost, but they make the drinks quite strong when you do this. I found that it was more economical to order a couple of these as opposed to a greater quantity of weaker cocktails. Beer prices are decent.
Cherokee is a huge rip-off. They would have to drastically change their business model if there were any competition.
Good news for them is that it doesn't look there ever will be more competition so they can just continue to do whatever they want.
Drinks are very high at the casino. They use to have all you can eat crab legs and they stop doing that too.
We find that if we are staying overnight and just bring along a cooler with our drink of choice that is a much better option than buying drinks on the casino floor (if you have that option.)
Not comped. But if you are a diamond member or know one and can get into the diamond lounge then the drinks are SUPER cheap. Average price i pay is $2 and they are heavy pours. Tip them well and they will take good care of you! I just wish their hours were longer.
Not comped and if you are not a Diamond or 7 Star to get in the lounge you can carry from hotel into the casino. Bring your own.
Alcohol cannot be comped due to NC state laws. Not just the casino, but anywhere in the state. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee are free while seated and playing. Be sure to tip the cocktail server or you wont see them again.
Alcohol is a tad on the expensive side as stated by a prior answer.
