Wild horses in our own 4x4?

My brother in law has an enormous 4x4 pickup that they will be driving to the beach. He read that if you have your own 4x4, it's fine to go check out the wild horses on your own, rather than pay for a tour. Thoughts? Good idea?

Thanks,

Sue

Make sure he knows the realities of driving in the sand, and don't drive into the puddles on the back roads, some are so deep they could swallow a Humvee. Air Down!!!! Here is some tips from a 4X4 area realtor https://www.twiddy.com/4x4-driving-tips.aspx#/dFH4oGIwT9+hsGLlCAyjqw/

We were told there are regulations about how far away from them you have to be--they are protected. Our guide yelled at a guy taking photos up close. So be sure you know the rules.

Even though he has a big bad 4x4 you will need to air down,if it is a duel rear wheel they don't do well on the beach . Be sure to air down before you get to the beach entrance,

As previously stated, please be sure to read up about the horses. They are wild animals;not like a friendly horse in a fenced pasture standing around waiting for a carrot. Admire them from afar with a zoom lens.
