We are thinking about a mid-March 2021 trip to Highlands. Is the town mostly open during that time?

Most restaurants will be open with the likely exception of Paolettis. Also, most shops will be open especially given the number of people who are here now all the time. If it is cold enough there may still be ice skating in the park. March here is like a lot of places, could be 70, could be snowing!

March is a good time to visit. The waterfalls will have lots of water in them. If you come in late March some wildflowers may be blooming.

Just curious why Paoletti’s will be closed this month...?

Paolettis generally closes after the new year and opens again in April.
