How hilly is Golden Sands

Hi... We have lived in Turkey for 6 years but have returned to England and want to try Bulgaria as a holiday destination.. We are 62 and 64. My husband has slight walking difficulties and we have just read that Golden sands is very hilly.. Is this the whole resort? We wnat to try somewhere with bars and restaurants but not lots of nightlife. Tjis would be June? early July or September.. Thank you. Any suggestions for B and B would be much appreciated, Wew like to eat out on an evening, The other alternative would be Nessesbar? Thanks again...

GS is hilly. However if stay in a hotel on the front it won't be a problem. I use the hotel Mac and you walk up a massive hill to get to it. Nice hotel but the walk kills me !

I know a couple in their 70s who go to Golden Sands every year and stay in the same hotel. It's right on the front and close to all the bars etc. I forget the name but I know more older people stay there. I will try and email them and post here if I can find out for you.

Best,

Paul

golden sands is hilly there is a noddy train

and the hills are only a problem if you want to walk up that way or have a hotel up that way

ie if you want to go up party street

the thing is if you stay on the front it will cost more to eat out but still cheap

i go to the lillia B&B on the front some steps not many

the metropol is adults only on the front but i think it is all in

the rivier beach is also all in

the admirel almost in the center but still on the flat but it is half board

vistamar is all in but flat

morsko oko garden all in again

hotel palm beach is B&B but there will be some steps

bonita is B&B but its near the busy part

the kaliakra palace is also all in and some steps the luna has a lot of steps but is ok

gladiola is a bit to much party i think

berlin golden beach is on the flat end no steps

marina grand beach is in the busy area

bolaro is good but all in interational casino is also in the busy part senido golden star is on the flat and no steps astoria beach is ok

all the other hotels i can think of are up the hill

i would surgest the north end say from the kaliakra palace along there are some nice bars its all flat on the sea front the party area is all up the other end from say the admiral heading away in that direction

i would not let the hills worry you just dont get a hotel up the hill

i use the lillia because its on the flat on the sea front away from the busy part but within a easy walk

its not the best hotel its just a hotel i walk to the white lady bar have lunch on the sea front about 100 yards away

the hotel metropol is next to the vistamar and next to the lillia with the bolero behind its on the front away from the busy area its a adults only hotel its in the flat area right across the road from the beach

the only draw back is its a all inclusive only hotel part of the grifid group

so if you like to eat out alot its not so good

but its a good hotel grifid hotels are good the food at the grifid hotels is also good

but if you want to eat out that is the thing you will have to make your mind up on

also the metropol has 11 floors and only two lifts

the vistamar next door is also a grifid not a adults only hotel almost everything else the same but only has 6 floors and 3 lifts

grifid also have the beach area in front of these hotels with a beach bar and sunbeds ect

the bolero just behind these hotels is also a grifid so much the same but the bolero also has a water park

the bolero has 8 floors and 8 lifts

these hotels are good the only point for you is do you want to go all in

because i am out alot all in is not good for me if you are going to stay around the hotel alot all in is fine

if i ever had to go all incusive i would stay at one of these hotels most likey the bolero ( water park )

as i say i am out alot so stay B&B i use the lillia next door to the metropol

this area would be right for you

take acloser look and ask again about your choice of hotel
