crabbing

Looked at some old messages but someone misunderstood the question and suggested buying crabs !!!

Looking for an area to go crabbing , not in rock pools , talking about dangling a net/line over a wall with bacon , counting how many you catch and throwing them back in, its for the 6 weeks holidays for grandbairn, have had him at wells , the crabbing capital of the uk, and a good little spot at Whitby too , so wandering about beadnell or seahouses, do people do it up here (I live in Newcastle)

I don't know if these previous threads can help you but although old crabbing doesn't change much

From Mumsnet

If you get time when you go to Craster go south a bit to Howick Scar. You can do down on amazing rocks and a lovely beach. There is a Victorian swimming pool cut into the rock that is great for crabbing.

This is up to date

And YouTube - the kids sound so serious ;-)

Im quite aware of that , I meant can you walk easily ,i.e not cut off by tides , not having to make great detours inland, is there a path, so sorry for not adding the word easy in my sentence , sarcasm lowest form of wit

I thought it was funny. It's just a joke. We're just other travellers on here for relaxation and because we often have info to pass on that can help someone
