Pretty sure unless it's a Cedar Point hotel, no walking is permitted on the Causeway

What hotel are you staying at?

Unless you are staying at The Breakers, Sandcastle Suites, or at the campground, you will have to drive and pay $20 to park.

It depends on where you are staying. If it's Hotel Breakers or Sandcastle Suites, you can walk. If not, you have to drive, as foot traffic is not permitted on the causeway.

I have never seen anyone walking on the cause way. It's not safe.

No pedestrians are allowed on the causeway. If you want to walk, change hotels to Breakers or Sandcastle Suites, or you could rent a cabin at Lighthouse Point.
