We would go for a good pub or restaurant - all options are open, but recommendations are always really helpful. It will also be half-term week so we are hoping that more places will be open on the Monday that week.

I like the Crown at Lanlivery too. If you wanted to drive into Fowey, 'Sams' has an excellent atmosphere: http://www.samsfowey.co.uk It is very very popular and you can't book but the time goes by very quickly if you need to wait for a table due to the good feel of the place.

If you don't mind a shortish ride to Polperro, you can get the best of both worlds if you dine at the Blue Peter Inn on the quayside. It's a fantastic pub with great ales and a warm welcome. The food is superb , all locally caught or sourced and the prices are very reasonable. You can eat downstairs in the bar area or upstairs in the dining room. Tables can be booked which I'd advise as the place is usually busy most nights.

The most useful restaurant in Lostwithiel, The Grapevine, has recently closed and in any case was not open on Mondays. All around here you'll have difficulty avoiding the seafood but many places have a good other selection. If you must stay in Lostwithiel, try The Globe, a pub restaurant. Suggestions for elsewhere (from a frequent visitor to the area with no axe to grind): Bodmin - the restaurant at Bodmin Jail; or go just a little bit further to Chapel Amble (near Wadebridge) to The Maltsters Arms. Both these latter two do a good selection of nice food and can accommodate a large party. Good luck!
