Glow in the Dark Planktons @ Jervis Bay

Hello! We are planning to stop by Jervis Bay on this 15 December, we have seen a lot of photos about it.

I was wondering if they appear every night especially in December. And where is the best location to experience it. Thanks!

If you mean - are the Noctiluca scintillans, which create the bioluminesence, always present, then the answer is yes. You can see the effect at night by moving your hand or a stick or somesuch device through the water.

If you mean - will the Noctiluca scintillans be present in sufficient quantities to cause the kind of effect seen in the picture in this link smh.com.au/environment/water-issues/jervis-b… then the answer is maybe. There are no guarantees that a bloom will occur at any given time in any given location
