You may check on Labor Ready http://laborready.com which has over 700 branches in the nation. You can use its Branch Locator to find out if there is branch at Uniontown or how far and how many branches around the town. This will give you a very good idea of the jobs in the area, just any town in the country... Labor Ready also pays CASH at the end of the day one works, and if one reports to work at 6am, it is almost guarantee a job that day.

Hope you think that through carefully, because let me tell you, the work force is not too good, and it isn't getting much better. Fayette county is one of the poorest counties in Pennsylvania, and most people who grew up here try to leave because it is so dismal and hard to find work. The work that is here is mostly blue collar, and it is just very hard to find a good-paying job, even with a college education, simply because the economy is so bad here.

The up-side of that is that the cost of living is very low compared to a lot of other places. The only thing that really seems to keep people here is their family, but if you don't have that here, there isn't much to come for except some historical site-seeing in the mountains.

A better bet would be to look more towards Pittsburgh, about 1 hour to the north of Uniontown, or even Grrensbur, anbout 45 mins northeast, or Washington, about 50 mins northwest of Uniontown, situated in Westmoreland County, and Washington County, respectively.
