Tennis of Kiawah

My family is heading to Kiawah East Beach Area at the end of the month. Can we play tennis at the Barth Tennis Center or do we need to be staying at the resort? Also, any suggestions on where to play or tennis activities that we should look into? Thanks!

Anyone staying on the island can play at either of the two tennis centers (east beach or west beach). Resort guests may get priority booking, but I've never been aware of any problem with getting court time.

The tennis center offers a variety of classes and activities. Check the website at http://www.kiawahresort.com/tennis/, and give them a call.

Aside from tennis, be sure to visit the Nature Center in Night Heron Park for information on tours and activities featuring Kiawah's wildlife. The "Alligator Walk" is fun!

Be sure to attend on of the Resort's Monday night "Oyster Roasts", which are gib family picnics, beginning with steamed oysters (all you can eat), and continuing to the barbecue buffet. There is live music, and entertainment for the kids. The setting overlooking the Kiawah River is fabulous for sunset!
