Did you do this? I am going to visit a friend hopefully early 2021 due to Corona, and I live in the UK, Did you have trouble getting there or going in etc?

You may know this, but you MUST coordinate with your inmate. You must be on their visitor list, and an inmate can only update that list once in six months. And an inmate can only have one visit per week, so you have to avoid conflict with a planned visit.

If you and the inmate complete the process properly, you will have no trouble. However, neither you nor the inmate can control occasional situations that result in a lockdown of a unit. But those are unpredictable. Currently, the most likely cause is something related to CoVID. An inmate may be put on restriction on account of contact with a case. I believe Hughes is one of several units currently involved in a precautionary 14-day lockdown that began May 13. I think it possible, even likely, that such things could still happen in 2021.
