Park City in early June

First trip to Park City. Going first week in June for a vacation. Husband likes to hike, iike to swim and shop, both like sightseeing. We like higher end hotels. Looking for advice at that time of year on where to stay and what to do during our week-long vacation?

The Montage Deer Valley will be ideal for you. It is a touch early-ish first week of June. You will still have some snow on trails and likely some mud. Definitely better than May but FYI. Montage is nice as it's high end, wonderful pool area and located absolutely right on the Mid Mountain Trail offering good hiking and biking. Another option to consider is Stein Eriksen Lodge located at Deer Valley's mid mountain area. Swimming will be in hotel pools.

Have fun.

Montage would be a nice option. Early June is still a little early in the season, but not bad. ASide from trails in Park City, you could also go over Empire Pass to Guardsman Pass and access into Big Cottonwood Canyon. This will have tons of hiking options, though north facing slopes will still be covered in snow. Salt Lake will have a ton of hiking options too.

Other things to do could be checking out Sundance Resort and maybe the ziplines. Utah Olympic Park could be another area to look into. Boating or SUP on Jordanelle. Horseback riding, rafting on the Weber, Alpine Slide and Coaster, maybe a trip up Red Pine Gondola.

Check local event calendars too for Silly Sunday, music, performing arts, theater, and anything else that may be happening while you;'re in town.
