going to sugarbush for a wedding at the end of september.
Suggestions for things to do during the day???
It's a great time of year to visit. Go to the farmer's market in Waitsfield, Saturday from 9:00 until 1:00. Music, food, local crafts, massage, etc. There are a lot of good hikes. Sunset Rock is short (maybe an hour round trip) and has a great view (south from Lincoln Gap). Burnt Rock is longer, 5.2 miles round trip, also great views (end of North Fayston Road). Mt. Abraham is similar (north from Lincoln Gap). Buy a trail map to see other walking and hiking options (available through the Mad River Path Association). Ride the single chair at Mad River Glen, check first to see if it's running that weekend. Go for a glider ride at the Sugarbush airport. Go for a bike ride (road or mountain). Get a picnic lunch at Kingsbury Farm or the Warren Store.
Whatever you do, if the weather cooperates it will be beautiful!
