Fall weekend at Mount Snow

We are going to Vermont for a weekend in early October. The men will golf and the women will go to the Hildene craft fair in Manchester and the outlets one day. We usually go to the Weston Vermont country store. Does anyone have any other ideas for us or a place to find a calendar that might list other fairs or markets in the area. Any dinner ideas are appreciated it seems that many of the reviews for the area are old and few positives. I love Dot's for pancakes, no matter what the reviews say.

If you're going to the area on the weekend of the 10th, they are having Oktoberfest as well as the Arts and Crafts show at Mount Snow. Stratton, I believe, also does an Oktoberfest the same weekend.

For dinner:

Two Tannery Restaurant is good continental cuisine and it's very close to Mount Snow.

For Chinese, First Wok is actually decent - located at the little plaza where the movie theater is. If you're in Manchester, the chinese restaurant in town (Panda something?) is also not bad.

For Pizza/italian - I don't find most to be any good except La Toscanella which serves brick oven pizza.

Another good place is Ravello's on route 100.

This is probably too late for your trip, but for anyone else planning a trip, http://www.visitvermont.com/events lists all of the events happening in the Mount Snow area
