It takes approx 50 minutes to an hour to get there by bus and boat, but it really doesn't feel that long as you're switching modes of transport!! Breaks it up. Really really easy to do too - would recommend it instead of getting an organised tour.
The way you descripe is the easiest and fastest way to go Venice.
Is there a direct boat to Venice from the Lido? How often does is go and what is the cost per person?
No, the ferry goes from Venice to Punta Sabbioni, and then you have to take a bus or car to Lido de Jesolo. Sorry, but I don't remember the prices.Edited: 16 October 2011, 00:26
Unless you are talking about the Lido just outside Venice (not Lido de Jesolo), if so there is a direct ferry, and you should post your questions under Venice to get some help (Lido is the italian word for beach)
You can get a day ticket for around 12-15 euros, which will allow you travel on all the ferrys
I am very confused. Can someone please tell me EXACTLY were the bus stops in Lido Di Jesolo for Punta Sabbioni? If I am staying at one of the hotels along the beach.
1. Do I go to the main bus station to get the bus for Punta S.?
2. Is there a city bus route from the hotels to the port?
If this is the case does anyone know along which street does the city bus
drive? I checked the ATVO maps they only ive bus "lines and numbers" but do NOT show excatly were they stop and along what street the bus goes?
Thank you in advance.
You can buy a day ticket for 15 euros from Punta Sabbioni
And ia very good, your able to hop on and of the various ferry's
I did this 2 years ago, left early from the hotel 9 am, head to Punta Sabbioni, bought my day ticket, and spent the who day, going round venice, by ferry, stopping to take photos at different locations
Thank you Joe.....but were did you get the bus in Lido di Jesolo???????
Was it at the main bus station OR is there a local bus, which street does it go through on its route????
Dont know which hotel your in, but, this should help you find the bus stops,
Instructions as follows, you must head away from the beach, and head towards Piazza Mazzini, near the Principe Palace Hotel, and head towards Via Ippolito Pindemonte
Via Ippolito Pindemonte, is where you will find the bus stops
Hopefully if you google these places, you find the bus stops
