Are there any unique or different stores in Wheeling to go shop at? What other things are there to do in Wheeling WV?
Wheeling does have a few interesting places to shop. Not sure if you are looking for antiques, local arts & crafts, Christmas Shops, or factory outlets. So here is a mix of several:
First off, here is a fantastic site with so many local businesses (especially in the market district) that do not have their own websites: www.wheelingcvb.com/shopping-and-antiques.php
The Highlands shopping area ISN'T unique... most cities have a mega-shopping area with the Wal-Marts, Sam's Clubs, Targets, etc. However, the Cabellas at the Highlands really is worth a visit... even if you are not an outdoor enthusiast.
Good luck. Wheeling is a neat town.
I was in Shuggys Antiques recently and absute love this store. I like vintage jewelry and I hit the jackpot at Shuggys. Much glassware also. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return.
Shuggys is in a neat area, across from the Center Market and among other nice shops and eateries. Coleman Fish Market is right across the street.
Cherokee Gift Shop and Boot outlet 1 mile east of Cabelas is pretty unique. They have lots of different jewelry, clothes, pottery, moccasins, and tons of boots.
