Tent camping near Apostle Islands

Hi, we are looking for a nice campground nearby to do some car camping. Have two tents. We don't need a lot of amenities, just looking for sites with decent privacy and/or nice views.

Big Bay State Park on Madeline Island looks nice, but I don't like the idea of having to take a ferry to and from the mainland every day.

I was looking at the Little Sand Bay Campground, but can't find a lot of information about it. I am sure there are other little campgrounds in the area that also might be great. Thanks for any help.

We camped at Dalrymple last summer, they have about 8 sites that are overlooking Lake Superior and others set back in the trees, still with a view. It is a clean well kept campground with firewood included. It's only a mile north of downtown Bayfield. The sites are first come, no reservations.

Thanks, that does look pretty good. $25/night for no shower is expensive, though. Are there showers we can use nearby?

Anybody have feedback on Little Sand Bay Campground?

Little Sand Bay is a nice municipal campground. Shaded, plenty of room for RVs. Nice sheltered docks. No real amenities. You will have to entertain yourselves. Don't be afraid of using the ferry out to Madeline Island. The Island is big, and LaPointe is an interesting little town. There's lots to do on the island
