Hi, I’m coming next month for 3 nights. Is there any hotels besides the 4 seasons?
Hotel Lana’i. Looks very nice. We were going to stay there March 2020 but ended up canceling the Lana’i portion of our trip.
I called and left a message. You heard of dreams come true Lanai City?
That's a room in a b&b.
There are only 2 hotels, both owned by the person who owns 98 % of Lanai.
The Hotel Lanai in town was recently refurbished. We took a look last month when we were on island.
Personally I liked the cabin a whole lot more pre refurb but that is just me.
I’m looking for places to stay in February 2022 and have found several places on AIRBNB and VRBO. Might try that route although when all the room cleaning and taxes are added to the nightly rate the cost may not be worth it.
Aloha Ari,
As others have said, the only other hotel beside FS is the Hotel Lanai. The renovations I saw the last time we were on the island in February 2020 looked nice. Very modern like at the FS, even Toto toilets. I agree with Bill that the modern look does not really fit with with the 1920's history of the place, but it did need a refresh.
Bill, I am glad you got back this year. We have reservations for a visit this winter. Not sure if it is worth the out of this world room rates at the FS if we have to wear masks, but we will keep an eye on the pandemic status and make final decisions as the travel date approaches. We haven't left MN since our 2/2020 trip to Lanai, so it is a big leap.
I hear you drv re the 4s prices. We just ferried over for the day.
The 1920s look of the hotel was what drew us there in the first place, reminded us of our childhood up north cabins. Price also reflected the refurb.
If we decide to go for a stay will explore the vrbo route. Talked to Kathy at lengh about the offering and she suggested a couple she knew about.
