Best scenic route from pigeon forge to Asheville
And when asking someone for help would it not be better to ask a polite question rather than just making a statement? What about the "Best scenic route from pigeon forge to Asheville?" If you want to know what the particular route it is, then why not make sure that your statement is in the form of a question?
I noticed that you inadvertently posted your question in the Ashville Forum, so I have moved the topic on your behalf to the Asheville Forum.

From PF take the Bypass road around Gatlinburg, take Hwy 441 thru the park which comes out in Cherokee. You then have a choice of driving the Blue Ridge Parkway or thru Maggie Valley and Waynesville. There is no wrong choice as both are scenic. If you take the BRP Mount Pisgah Inn is a good stop for lunch or just to enjoy the view there. Lots of scenic pull offs on the way thru the park and on the BRP. Plan to spend the entire day. If you are in a hurry and dont want all this great scenery the just take I-40 from PF straight to Asheville.
Its a matter of HOW scenic. I think of I-40 as the non-scenic route. Going through the park over Newfound Gap and or the Blue Ridge Parkway is very scenic but adds an hour or more to your trip. I favor taking 449 north from Pigeon Forge to Sevierville then US 441 North to Newport, then follow US 25 east from Newport along the French Broad River to Hot Springs NC then on to Weaverville NC where you get on I-26 E, just 10 miles north of downtown Asheville
Several scenic routes have been covered above, but here is a longer, and very scenic route:
From PF, take Wears Valley Road (321), to Walland, then Foothills Parkway to Tail of the Dragon (129), down to Hwy 28, to 74, and into Asheville. Note: much longer, but very scenic.
Actually, there is no wrong answer.
