staying in orlando and commute

Hello!

Our 8 year old daughter will be attending the camp KSC in early august. The camp runs Monday thru Friday 9 am to 3 pm.

I am planning to stay in Four Seasons Orlando and rent a car. In the morning I will drive her to the camp, and in the afternoon my husband will pick her up. One of us will always be in Orlando with our one year old son. In the evening we can all visit the theme parks, a little bit each night :)

Is there going to be a lot of traffic for the commute? Also.. do you think my plan is reasonable or...crazy? LOL thanks!!

You will have a minimum 1 hour each way, AM will be more as its rush hour, I would allow at least 1.5 hours for morning, more if theres a traffic jam. Afternoons may not be as bad. I think its great that you are willing to do this for your daughter but I would consider staying in Cocoa Beach a couple nights to minimize the drive time. Check out the Cocoa Beach forum and the Things to Do tab to see if that would work for you. Or consider just hanging out at the beach, etc till time for pick up.
