Lunch on the water

I will be in Jacksonville for 1 day. We were hoping to Find a restaurant to have lunch on the water. Any suggestions?

Considering all the water we have in Jacksonville you would think we would have a lot of restaurants on the water. But we don't.

-River City Brewing Company downtown is probably the best of the few we have. http://www.rivercitybrew.com/

-Casa Marina in Jacksonville Beach serves lunch on their third floor every day except Monday. If you arrive early you can sit outside! http://casamarinahotel.com/dining/lunch-menu/

-Clark's Fish Camp on Julington Creek in the Mandarin area is a fun place. (But it's not for P.E.T.A.). Check the pictures. http://www.clarksfishcamp.com/

Enjoy your visit!

Those are good suggestions. It's crazy that we don't have more restaurants on the water. If you are looking for 'water' as in 'ocean', the River City Brewing Company or Clark's Fish Camp won't work - River City is on the St. John's River (beautiful river views though, and outside dining available) and Clark's doesn't really offer water views when dining (also on the river, not the ocean). If you want to drive about 45 to 50 minutes from Jacksonville to St. Augustine, you'll have more 'on the water' options.

The Conch House is one of our favorites! http://conch-house.com/ It's a really easy drive and the food is good. Nice lively atmosphere. Very beachy. Casual. Enjoy!

The Sand Dollar on Heckscher Dr is good and has the best view I can think of.

Safe Harbor is excellent but the view is of boats in the harbor, and a very long wait. People have caught on. http://www.safeharborseafoodmayport.com

Julington Creek Fish Camp is very good. Again view is mostly of boats but you are on the second floor and it's lovely to sit outside if not too hot. http://julingtoncreekfishcamp.com

Further south I recommend Caps on the Water and Barbara Jean's.

Thought of another one further south. Beaches at Vilano has a fantastic location, beautiful view. Food is good, not great, but 5 star atmosphere.

The Reef, half way between Ponte Vedra and Saint Augustine.
