Boiled peanuts

I've searched the forum and the last mention of boiled pnuts was 2016. Will be in HD end of May, no car so can't travel distances. Is there anywhere in or near the HD to get boiled pnuts?

Boiled peanuts is usually a roadside stand kind of thing. I don't know of any place that sells boiled peanuts in the HD.

Adding - Google search said Saddle Bags, a country bar at 317 W. River Street has them.

www.saddlebagsbar.com

I don't see a mention of them on their website, but you could call or email.

Also Davis Produce, but you'd need a car to get there -

Parker’s market on drayton street has really, REALLY good boiled peanuts. They’re only $1.99 too which is a good price. The only thing there that is a good price...

Only thing about the boiled peanuts at Parker's or any other convenience store is the uncertainty about how long they have been in that slow cooker. I have had some from such places where there wasn't a roadside stand available that were pretty good, but others that were so soggy, Best to try and sample one to see, even if it is only $2.

You can buy fresh green peanuts from Publix and boil them yourself. Don't buy raw! They have to be green. I am in Florida now and boil up about 10 lbs per week to put in the freezer for football season. The window is short for fresh green peanuts.
