TheSwinging Bridge picnic area has a bunch of trees that turn a nice yellow. And when the leaves all fall, they turn the entire path on the bridge a nice blanket of yellow…
I find the colors are dramatic along Mono Pass, as seen from Tioga Pass Road near the eastern entrance.
Also Lee Vining canyon, the road to the powerhouse below Tioga Pass has very nice aspen groves
In the valley floor, I like the meadow and area underneath El Capitan where there are groves of aspen
When we were in Yosemite in October 2019 (mid-month), the dogwoods were a lovely rosy color along the Mirror Lake Loop trail. We also saw them lining the road out of the Valley, where it follows close to the Mercer River.
