Heads up there's some incorrect information in the Yosemite guide.

Badger shuttle only runs once a day and on fri sat and sun only.

Also ranger led snowshoe walks require a call in advance...the information is correct in most places but there's one place in the guide where it says day of reservations.

Roads are still slushy in spots and mornings have been cold with lots of ice. So even though tire chains aren't required in the same way as last week...roads still require some slower driving once you're in the park.

"Badger shuttle only runs once a day "?

I am little confused here: if the shuttle only runs once a day, how do people come back to valley later? Will the shuttle wait in the Badger Ski Area during the day?

John ~ one shuttle up the hill. One shuttle down the hill. Don't miss it.

Other January info ...

Badger Pass closes and opens frequently. Call or check the website first. Sometimes it's closed when the road is closed and sometimes it's COVID. https://www.travelyosemite.com/winter/badger-pass-ski-area/

There are planned burns going on in various areas of the Park (only when conditions are favorable.)

Construction will begin at the end of the month for the Yosemite Valley Welcome Center. It will be great to have, but the 'growing pains' include using some parking lot space for equipment & supplies.

Mountain Room Lounge will be closed Jan 31 - Feb 2.
