Ocho Rios or Falmouth

Ocho Rios or Falmouth

We are in the process of booking a 7 night Celebrity Cruise (Reflection) to the Western Caribbean. Celebrity changed their itinerary without notice so we had to change our departure date to keep the original itinerary, and now it turns out in addition that they have changed one of the destinations from Ocho Rios to Falmouth. My understanding is that this is not a desirable alternative. Any comments?

Most activities are right in Ocho Rios so it is better to be in port there. However you can do excursions closer to Falmouth which would cut down travel time.

What do you want to do while you are in port?

Imo...more desirable. Falmouth is less populated with tourists and is a new port in a village while Ochi is a busy port town.

Falmouth has a beautiful nearby beach Burwood and great excursions. You could travel to Ochi for the falls bit others thibgs closer are nice as well.

A few excursions to look into are Green Grotto Caves, River rafting down the Rio Bueno, bamboo rafting down the Martha Brae and Burwood beach.

PEACE!
