Why are the toilets not open on bank holiday monday
Ask the town Council.
Own up, who's got the keys ?
why are the toilets closed by 4.30 in the evenings!! when people are spending money in the town at the arcades etc, oh well everyone tell yourselves now !I MUST NOT NEED THE LOO AFTER THIS TIME, What a joke!!!
Does seem craxy, even adding a 24 hour facility would be a good idea. As otherwise it puts pressure on the local businesses which isn't fair.
The toilets at the North end of the village (near the railway station) are locked in the early evening but at the other end of the village behind the Peak District Lead Mining Museum in the Grand Pavilion (a big pink/peach coloured building) there are toilets that are open 24 hours a day. Not ideal I know.
I am a regular visitor to Mattock Bath and am absolutely appalled that they have closed the toilet facilities. I was there on Sunday and it was packed with visitors which is great. However, on wanting to use the loo I was informed by several other people in the same predicament that they are closed. Local businesses seemed frustrated with the situation as people tried to use their facilities, which I can understand. Surely with all these people encouraged to visit, they should provide basic facilities.
I just go to a pub if I can't find a public toilet. Wetherspoons are good for this.
Likewise Wirewiper......my wife and i were in urgent need for a toilet in Edinburgh a few years ago and casually walked into a wetherspoons there......she went whilst i put a couple of pounds into the fruit machine....and when she returned, she continued whilst i went......and she won £120!!.....
If it is the toilets next to the pavilion these have been closed down by Derbyshire Dale’s District council, we have campaigned to keep them open, but they said they are to expensive to maintain and need rebuilding, the others are at the other end of the village
