Pantai Kok Hotel recommendations

Hello, my partner and I are going to Langkawi for our anniversary and as pantai kok has a reputation for being a more quiet and secluded area, this seems like the area for us. We are also keen on the batik art village and the waterfalls nearby.

We are looking for a hotel/resort/etc where we can get a room with a queen double bed for up to $150 AU a night. (around about 508 ringgit)

We would love a beachside place with a pool, breakfast available, food and bar onsite or very close by, massage/spa facilities and if possible a swim-up bar. Is there anything that you know of which fits this description?

Thankyou.

Hi

The only hotel on Pantai Kok is The Danna or slightly further away in Burau Bay, the Berjaya, which ticks most of your boxes. Have a look at those two places but you may have to up your budget slightly.

You may wish to note that now Pantai Kok beach has been completely destroyed by developers and looks pretty awful and there is quite a lot of building work in that area.

Thankyou for replying so quickly Lesley!

That's no good about kok beach being not so great now. =o/ Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately those two hotels you suggested are out of our price range.

How easy do you think will it be to get around the island to see the waterfalls and the batik art village if we stay elsewhere? Where else has hotels that are a bit more secluded than the main city strips?

Cheers.

Hi

Unfortunately for you the secluded hotels are also the most expensive ones so you may have to opt for something else. Langkawi is not the cheapest of places now.

You could look at Frangipani, Tropical Resort, La Pari Pari, Holiday Villa or Federal Villa which may be more in your price range. Villa Molek is also quite nice. Alternatively look under the green band at the top of the page (if you are on a laptop), where it says Hotels and then refine your search from there.

Do you intend to hire a car? If so, then it is very easy to get around the island. There is no public transport so you will have to get taxis to where you wish to go. The prices are fixed and compared to other countries, very reasonable.
