First Time in Ibiza

Hi Everyone,

I am visiting Ibiza for the first time with 3 of my friends on 17th June for a week. We are staying very close to Ibiza Rocks Hotel and Mambo.

Could you suggest some cheap places to buy some alcohol for pres at the hotel?

Bars/Restaurants we should visit?

Cheapest way to get around the island?

Clubs (or event nights) we shouldn't miss?

Also if you could give us any advice on what to avoid that would be great!

Walk up any of the small streets from the front and you will find numerous small shops selling cheap drinks.

Avoid the groups of ladies along the front who will try and sell you bracelets - keep your wits about you when you see them (easy to recognize) do not engage in any conversation with them. The sunglasses sellers are more laid back and can be brushed off with a smile and a no thanks.

Cheapest way around is by bus from the bus station at the other end of town - look on a map for this it's a bit hidden away from the front. Plenty of options for day trips.

Lots of good restaurants along the front I find best options are between Mambo and the strip or along the beach beyond Ibiza Rocks

There's plenty of shops and some supermarkets near you - have a look on Google maps before you go. Bars and restaurants depend on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. Davids is a fantastic Italian near you - I've been there at least once every holiday as the food is lovely and it's cheap. Curry club is also nice. Hush is a fab bar on the west end and open till late playing house but there's a big range of music depending what you're into. Clubs again, what kind of music do you like?

Cpuld be here allweek giving advise on all your questions but ibiza has one major problem in sanAn and its whats been says above... do not engage in any way with the ladies on the beavh front. They are extremely hard to miss so youll know what your looking at when ypu see them.. as alredy says the guys arenfine bit the women should not be approached(under no circumstances shake theyre hands) avoid contact no matter how rude you feel or they make you feel. As for the rest ibiza is not as expensive as its made out to be travel by bus always quick convenient and cheap and theres always bus's and if your travelling 18-30's DO NOT let them sell you anything or make you feel like you need to. they pressure ppl into buying theyre sh*t and i kid you not its sh*t they sell and at rip off prices best thing to do of your going to clubs is to buy big club tickets now(when prefered shows announced) before you travel out there. So when you get harrassed from the reps you can shoot them down with your week of club tickets purchased already. Ie; half the stuff they sell to ppl on holiday is FREE. Paint/foam partys ect bar crawls?? Honestly this post could go on foreve. Hope you enjoy Eivissa

For more info and upto date announcments for shows ect, and if your buying tickets in advanced have a look on 'ibiza spotlight' probably one of the safest, longest running sites when it comes to club tickets on the island.
