Hi, We are due to stay in Gruissan Plage in August this year. We will be travelling with a 7 year old and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any local attractions /things to do?

The village has goings on in the evenings in summer. Check the tourist office site for info. Will you have a car and how far are you prepared to travel ? In the summer heat, most will stick to the beach during the day. Market in the village 3 days a week, street market and covered market in Narbonne. Water park and amusement park along the road to Narbonne Plage. Horseriding, go-cart, boat trips....

In Gruissan there is a treasure hunt to do for children :


A little bit further south, you have the fortress of Salses :


In Sigean, you also have the réserve africaine if you feel like a safari
