No Longer Iberostar!

Wow ... Iberostar Playa Blanca is now the Gran Carib Playa Blanca. Looks like they have built a new Ranchon west of the Bellarena section. Does anyone know what is happening there with possible renos?

I just saw that too! Perhaps Iberostar finally realized it couldn't bring the resort to its usual standards and threw in the towel?

I thought that most of the Iberostar hotels were with Cubanacan.

Are there any others with Gran Caribe, does anyone know ?

Wish the staff a speedy return to work.

On Cayo Largo, it's a hard sell without a beach. A beautiful sea view doesn't cut it for everyone. Let's hope this doesn't draw needed resources from Pelicano.

Interesting question beardo! I do know that the Iberostar Ensenachos is managed by Gaviota, not sure about Cubanacan. And on CL, all resorts are managed by Gran Caribe.

Beardo, Maybe the Iberostar Colonial on Cayo Coco and Iberostar Daiquiri on Cayo Guillermo too.

Thanks - I should have remembered the Ensenchos. I hadn’t realised that Cayó Largo is a one company island.
