Best part of the Trip didn’t have to wear a mask on the ship. Carnival did a good job after technically being shut down for 2 years.

We sailed on the Carnival Dream over the new year's holiday to the Bahamas. I have sailed Carnival many times before but have noticed the quality steadily declining. With so many issues during this particular cruise, I have decided it will be my last Carnival cruise. Prices keep skyrocketing while quality crashes and burns. The food was pretty bad overall. The kids liked the burgers and pizza, but the adults were unhappy. The buffet food would get a 2/10 no matter the meal. Meals in the dining room were a bit better quality, but we found the wait once seated to get your food and the staff attitudes to be subpar. I wouldn't pay for any of the restaurants with fees. The three we tried were overpriced with cafe-style quality of food. Guys BBQ was the worst BBQ I've ever had. Yuck! The laundry rooms were a joke. Few of the machines worked, especially the dryers. When we complained, the staff were rude and said, "You can pay to have your laundry done." Who would pay their rates for laundry? The attitudes on the ship were not good. I know working in travel can be stressful, but we are not demanding or rude people, yet nearly everyone seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. I also found it disheartening and a bit offensive that cruisers are stalked in the shops. I felt like a criminal. The logistics were terrible. Whoever plans the activities needs to do better as far as quality and which spaces are used. We noted several instances when spaces for activities were double booked such as a photography session during a trivia game. Several tables, including our party, were asked to leave so they could move the tables for photo sessions. We had come early to get those seats. The person who asked us to move actually shooed us with his hands like we were nuisance pigeons. And whomever deigned to put the help desks where they did was an idiot. There is so much noise in the area that you can't hear the staff at the desks. The excursions were the absolute worst. If you think the staff on the ship can be rude, wait until you meet the people in the Bahamas. Excursion staff, shop clerks, entertainers, photographers, heck, nearly everyone we met had a negative attitude, particularly the sellers if you didn't want to buy a bunch of trinkets. I am to add reviews about the particular excursions on the Carnival website and perhaps elsewhere. My lasting opinion of the Bahamas is as a big scam in which Carnival, sellers, and excursion operators nickel and dime tourists to death. What a ripoff! When we complained to the tour desk staff, we were told that they agreed with us on the false advertising about the excursions. All they could do was write an email to the operator. So basically, nothing would be done.

This was the 2nd time cruising on the Dream. This was our first time getting a balcony. 6418. Was not as great as we were expecting. We noticed wet carpet and advised our steward Jennifer. Plumbing issues coming from the pipes on the bottom side of the wall. They fixed the leak and then the next day the room smelled like wet carpet, we let Jennifer know and they brought an industrial fan which helped with drying but the smell continued, the next day we called customer service about the smell and asked if there's another room we could get, They said no other rooms available but they were going to shampoo the carpet while we were off the boat doing excursion. So we come back and it did help but we still had the industrial fan going all night, which I was ok with but my wife was not too happy about it since it obstructed our walking paths, and couldn't sit on the sofa and it was just loud. Anyways, by Tuesday we were ok. I spoke with Customer desk and asked if we could get a discount for all the inconvenience, they said no, but they could give us a $50 voucher for an activity on board the ship. We decided for pictures was better than nothing. The rest of the time all was good. Nobody on the ship, from the steward to customer service ever apologized.

This is my 8th cruise and absolutely the WORST cruise I have ever been on. Even though it was known ahead of time that there was severe weather in the gulf, they went ahead with this cruise which put us all in danger. They drove us TWICE through a tropical storm (once going and once returning) and spent 3 full days in intolerable weather conditions. The weather was so bad that the first port was closed, but instead of take us someplace else, they drove us all the way to the closed port before announcing that the port is closed, and then just skipped it altogether and wasted an entire day at sea in rough weather. The ship was rocking and shaking so violently that I could not eat or sleep for DAYS. I have never wanted to be off a cruise ship as bad as I wanted off this one. On the days that I was able to eat, I found the food quality so unbelievably bad, and the service was even worse. The entire staff of this ship seemed to be 19 years old and very unprofessional and inexperienced. This is the first cruise where I actually LOST WEIGHT just from the terrible food. And Belize City is the worst cruise port I have ever been to. I found out why Royal refuses to go here. I was almost robbed by a taxi driver that I booked for a tour while in the port. After trying several times to cheat me, he pulled over and dumped my wife and I right in the street and left us, made us walk all the way back to the port. Then while returning to the port, one of the vendors there grabbed me and then tried to start a fight with me and my wife. My cruise cabin, which was among their most expensive grand suites, was in the worst condition I have ever seen a cruise cabin in. On check-in, it was disgustingly dirty to the extend that I had to request it be recleaned, and then they only cleaned the very worst parts of it. As the ship was violently shaking in the storm, the doors and cabinets would loudly vibrate and open and slam themselves closed, and lights inside the closets would turn on and off like a haunted house. I don't think I got more than 30 minutes of sleep in the entire agonizing week that I spent trapped in this place. The onboard entertainment was abysmal. There was hardly any live music at all, and then most of it was country music. There were a few comedians, two of them were painfully unfunny, two of them were just OK. I feel very ripped off by this cruiseline for spending so much money when everything was such a disaster. I would not take another Carnival Cruise even if it was free.

My wife and I were on a much anticipated cruise that turned out to be a real nightmare. The problem was the excessive noise from the cabin next to us. There were children in the cabin that were very noisy at night jumping and hitting the walls until past 1:00 am. Calls to the customer service desk resulted in the security officer to go to the cabin and spoke to the parents on the first night of the cruise. This did no good and was repeated the next night with no results. We requested a move to another cabin, but was advised NOTHING was available????? As a result, this was a horrible experience as we were unable to rest at all for the duration of the cruies!!!!! 8 nights of hell and no sleep or rest at night!!!!!! I will not cruise on Carnival Cruise line in the future as a result. Additionally, the dinner menu continued to change from the posted menu?????
