It was our first (and only so far) cruise. Everything was clean and nice. Staff was mostly all friendly. Biggest complaint is it was a pain to get drinks even though we bought the free drink package. Bartenders were often slow and/or the bars were understaffed. The 2 bars on the pool deck were the exception. We often would go 1/2 way across the ship and up several flights of stairs to get our drinks at the pool deck instead of waiting for service at the bar we were sitting near.

Food was excellent, and the waitstaff at meals were outstanding. It was a little annoying they were understaffed a the pizza place in the evening when people would want some late night pizza.

Entertainment was good, but after the 4th night (of a 4 night trip) we had pretty much seen all the entertainment.

Overall seemed good.

Carnival Elation out of Jacksonville, FL, to Freeport and Bimini Bahamas, 4-day cruse. Great get-away for a few days. The ship is lovely and has a lot to offer....great food, entertainment, shops, casino, and spa. She is an older ship and showing her wear, but clean. The cabin stewards are very attentive and keep the cabins clean every day. The balcony cabin is worth the extra money to feel the ocean breeze and see the amazing views. Enjoyed coffee and meals on the balcony. Pools were clean and pool deck well maintained. Cruise Director was lots of fun and always keeping the entertainment going.

This ship is not as I expected - small, lack of good entertainment. Food limited in Lido deck and most of it was not good at all. Best food was at Guy's Burger Joint and the fancy dining. Boarding was unoraanized. Room not cleaned well when we first entered the room - I brought my own lysol wipes and cleaned toilet, sink and areas I had to touch down. Will not cruise again on this particular ship.

After 4 carnival cruises that were fantastic, our first cruise after Covid left us incredibly disappointed. The staff were great as usual but the normal excellence in dining, excursions & entertainment were well below par. The buffet lines were incredibly long, the food below usual standards and the choices and options less than previous cruises. The dining hall was nice but the wait for service and our food longer than normal especially for breakfast. The entertainment was well below the standard of other trips both in quality and the number of shows offered. The excursions were expensive and not of great quality. We left disappointed with Our cruise. We have a special needs daughter and cruising provides us the opportunity to have the hotel, dining and entertainment all in one place. It’s been a real positive for us. However our latest adventure was disappointing in many areas and we will probably look at alternative cruise lines for our next adventure.

Day 1: This is not our first time cruise. We booked 2 rooms to accommodate our 13 yr old twins, 75 yrs old non English speaking mom, my husband and I. We were assigned to Our window cabins that were on opposite side of the ship. So We requested to move our rooms to side by side for ease of communication w our families and enjoying time together. We requested for closer rooms once we boarded inside the ship. However, we were told that we are not able to be moved DESPITE verifying with housekeeping that there is an available empty room right next to ours!! We asked guest services the reason why they won’t let us move our other room closer, their answer:”there’s no available room. And because we are the one who is in charge not the housekeeper”… yeah, I just want to know WHY is that room next door blocked off ? According to the housekeeper, there’s is nothing wrong with the empty next door room…See my frustration? My 2nd frustration? The internet sucks. Paid for the most expensive internet connection but connection is only about 25% inside our room. I kept on getting disconnected inside the room. Even around the deck, connecting is sketchy. Unable to make WiFi calls to my husband, texting is not bad. However, our housekeeper, dining servers I are all GREAT! They are so nice and attentive ❤️ Restaurant dinings & BUFFETS selections are GREAT too! Dinner dining selections are all 5STAR level food!! They are all delicious! Desserts in the restaurant dining are AMAZING! 5 star Michelin level! Beware, of added cost like in-room bottled water, soda in dining rooms, and tips are also automatically added to your account! Self service Tea at Lido buffet are free though

Our stateroom was nothing like the picture shown on this website. There was just enough room for the two beds and our suitcases, which we had to put under the beds so we could walk around the room. Half the elevators on the ship were out of order and the food at the grill was not what we came to expect from Carnival based on the previous cruise we took. Guys Burger Joint, however was ALWAYS oin point! We chose to look past that and decided to have a good time anyway. This worked until the last night of the cruise where a bullying incident was handled poorly. There were several pre teens in a hot tub, a young Caucasian boy shoved a young African American boy (who was about 4 inches and 30 pounds smaller) and got out the hot tub. The victim got out, shoved him back and squared up to defend himself. The bully looked surprised and when my friend yelled 'Hey!', he got in another hot tub a few feet away. A staff member was standing about 3 feet behind the hot tub, heard and saw all this and did nothing. The victim told him what happened and he still did nothing. We heard the victim say "He called me a n***** and pushed me!" The response of the bully's parent's was to say "He has black in him, he's mixed." The response of the bully's grandmother was a flick of her wrist, as it to say "Whatever." When the parents spoke to the captain, his response was to ask the victim "What did you do to provoke this?" My friend and I had been a few feet away the whole time, not close enough to hear, but close enough to see everything. Was it Carnival's fault the boy was a bully? Not at all. Carnival was at fault for not asking anyone on the deck for statements, Carnival was at fault for making the victim feel it was his fault, while the young bully was not chastised at all. As an African American women, I no longer felt safe, or that anyone on Carnival Elation cared about my well being. The best things about our cruise were our AWESOME steward Crisantos. He was polite, always had a welcoming smile and pleasant attitude. I previously gave this review for the Carnival Freedom and that was my mistake, we were on the Elation.
