A classic ship with many improvements over time! The food has been "tweaked" by Emeril Lagasse' and it is FANTASTIC! The chefs are very present in the main dining hall as well as the fancier dining room, (which was a HOOT, by the way. Kind of like a trip back in time.) The entertainment on this voyage was amazing! The singer/dancers nailed it in their first show. Later in the cruise we were getting major rocking of the boat due to a Cat 3 hurricane over Cuba that we were catching the remnants of. So the cast sang from high bar stools and the effect was very personal and entertaining. The kid in the piano bar? Ehhh. He had ZERO tips and kept fiddling with things. Coudn't get a drink even though we were there for over 20 minutes. This room needs help. The casino was far better than I remembered it (my first trip was 12 years ago.) Real craps, real roulette and table games. Slots were extremely tight. But overall, not a bad little casino. Alchemy Bar was expensive and rude. The waiter asked for payment and tip BEFORE he made my drink. That was a first. And a last. The hit of the cruise was comedian Alex Elkin. Look him up on YouTube; he's a riot, and everyone loved him; especially at the last night / late night uncensored show. Overall, great job by the Carnival crew and staff. We LOVED it!…

The carnival elation is my favorite ship even though it may be old it’s still feels brand new and with its 2023 revamp and repainting I think it’ll be even more fun. I highly recommend sailing on it because all the itineraries are nice and it’s super cheap. I would highly recommend sailing from Port Jacksonville…

This trip lived up to the expectation of a Carnival cruise--a party for all ages!! The excursions were interesting yet a bit expensive for the younger travelers. The food was good, especially the after 11pm pizza stations. The comedy lineup was excellent. A few guys in our party attended the mixology class and loved it. Potential improvements include more conveniently located bathrooms and additional easy to find trash receptacles. In room M222 the drapery hardware squeaked and moaned all night long when the ship was moving. This needs to be attended to for a better night's sleep.…

All around had a nice trip for the price point. I will definitely look into adult only cruises and express embarkation in future.

Absolutely horrible! I can’t believe how poor food and over all atmosphere is here in the Elation. The buffet was horrible not many stations to wash your hands. Very few hand sanitizer stations. The quality of the food was poor. The atmosphere was dark and dingy. Windows are dirty and hard to see the beautiful views. Going outside, they didn’t have many spaces to sit and enjoy the view.…
