This was our furst Celebrity cruise- we have cruised previously 7 or 8 times on Royal Carribean. We thought that we would try Celebrity this time around as it was a special holiday celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We were also travelling with another couple who were celebrating significant birthdays. We had a aqua class cabin and the others a concierge class cabin.
Following other reviews, I have to say that the service on board is first class. We had a great couple of guys serving us - Don as the head waiter and Darko as the waiter. They looked after us very well indeed.
I would also agree that on this cruise the entertainment was OK but not that great when compared with the shows we have seen on RC.
We had booked some trips with Celebrity and they were good days. The snorkelling with the Turtles and the Stingrays were 2 x great days.
Overall the cruise was great - we all had a great time and we will likely cruise Celebrity again - however I do have 2 really minor points for consideration -
(1) As we were in aquaclass we had excusive access to Blu restaurant. We only ate their once and we asked if there was a chance for our friends to join us for one night. We appreciated that they offically had no access but we were also quite willing to pay an extra covering charge if necessary. The answer came back as a NO - this is not possible. We therefore ended up in the MDR with our friends for dinner, and did noit bother much at all with Blu. For my part this is a flaw in Celibrity marketing. If our friends had managed to get in to Blu just for one night they may have been swayed on their next cruise to book aqua class. As it happens it has had the reverse effect and if we cruise again we will go with concierge. Slightly less income for Celibrity possibly going forward ?? The Blu restaurant was not that full so I am sure they could have made the accomodation. The maitre d informed me that it is niot their decision at a local level but corporate rulings !!
The other small niggle is that although the buffet restaurant had a great choice of food and quality - if you did in fact want a burger / hit dog / fries you had to go to the grill outside in the pool area. There was normall a further queue here, get you food , get back inside to the restaurant - food would nvariably be cold by the time you found a seat. Why there were no fires or burgers on the regular buffet I will never understand.
Apart from the two soap box moments above we did have a great time and will probably cruise Celbrity again.

We were on the Equinox for a southern Caribbean cruise in mid-January 2023. This was our first Celebrity cruise, but our 13th overall cruise. The good: great cabin steward, best buffet lunch of any of our collective 13 cruises (the vegetables were so good, I almost became a Vegan, but the meat selections kept me from doing so), terrific production shows on two nights, great Cruise Director (his talk about life on the ship set the standard for all cruise directors - it was funny, not a boring Q&A), nice fitness facility, great bartenders at the Martini Bar. The bad: Breakfast in the main restaurant were terrible (e.g., pancakes and waffles were same in restaurant as on buffet -- tasteless and cold). Dinner server in main restaurant was new at the job and it showed (e.g., would serve dressing for a salad which already had dressing on it; dinner took 2 - 2.5 hours for a table of six). Dinner seating was changed by Maitre'd from 6:00 to 5:30 without everyone at table being informed of switch and which prevented enjoying much of the entertainment that occurred from 5:15 to 6:00. Bar service was almost non-existent except when sitting immediately at a bar and too many bars were closed during hours I would have expected them to be open (I don't know how anyone could have gotten their money's worth out of a drink package). Mixed drinks, other than at the Martini Bar, were terrible (I had to ask the bartender at the top-end World's Bar to add more bourbon to a $15 Old Fashioned-type drink that was almost clear, as it had way too much simple syrup in it). No craft beers at the Craft Beer bar and the other bars mostly had Newcastle Brown Ale and Heineken on tap (first cruise I never bothered to get a beer -- just nothing worth getting). Twice our cabin's toilet plumbing stopped working without any notification to us that the system was down. The weird: jogging track uses the same walkway as the primary outdoor sitting area which makes walking the track difficult and jogging impossible. Many prime outdoor areas are covered in grass (no chairs!) with signs that request staying off the grass. Bathroom signage for bathrooms near main dining areas are immediately next to door rather than visible from common area, necessitating almost walking into the bathroom (doors were usually propped open) before realizing which gender the bathroom was for. Last disappointing thing: the post-cruise survey was lacking in comment space, so many possibly-helpful critiques couldn't be shared directly with the cruise line.

This was our 8th Cruise on Celebrity. This cruise was originally scheduled in 2020 but was canceled several times because of Covid. We had been on this ship in the past. Our first night at the dining room,(which we had reservations ) was totally chaotic. We had a hard time getting seated and there wasn't enough waiters. It took appx. 90 minutes to get our dinner. We never saw a waiter only an assistant. The following nights never went smoothly. Always a problem. With the exception of our Cabin Attendant, all services have suffered because of inexperience and or lack of staff. Celebrity ALWAYS did a great job with experienced staff and well organized. They have lost their edge. This was our second cruise in 2 months & both were disappointing. When they dropped their rates they also relaxed their requirements. People disregard clothing suggestions & show up in tee shirts, jeans, flip-flops, etc.

We travelled to the southern Caribbean on Equinox Jan 2-12, 2023, Coincerge class facing aft on deck 10. The room was excellent, well thought out with tons of storage. Our cabin guy was great, friendly and professional. The food in the cafe on level 12 was far better than in the main restaurant, so I ate only twice in 10 nights at the main one on level 4. Our main gripe was the incessant and awful music! Especially in the cafe, but also at the pool, the music was rap that appeals (maybe) to 20 somethings; the demographic on our cruise was well over 50 years of age! It was LOUD and obnoxious. If not for that, I would rate the cruise a 5 star. Well managed embarkation and debarkation! This was our 5th cruise on Celebrity. If they change the music I would go again!

Staff great, bed comfortable, excursions generally not worth the money and disorganized. They try hard but fall short in organization and follow through. Left feeling a bit nickel-dimed.
