We used S7 to get to Antalya in January and then get back to Moscow in February. Our first flight was really good. The aircraft was modern, with comfortable seats and enough feet space. The air company provided snacks and beverages. The flight was a bit late, but not by much, probably less than an hour.
Unfortunately, our flight back home was one of the worst I remember. Firstly, the flight was scheduled on 4:25 pm. We arrived to the airport of Antalya at 2:20. At the same time S7 sent us an SMS that informed us about possible delay due to extreme weather conditions in Moscow. The flight was getting delayed many times and the overall delay was exactly 6 (!!!) hours. During that time S7’s office at the airport was closed, there were no representatives of the company, so no one apologized for that inconvenience, no one clarified the situation and of course no one offered us drinks and food during those 6 hours. Luckily, administration of the airport of Antalya gave us food and drinks, so big thanks to them, they took the responsibility for the problem instead of S7. When we finally got on the aircraft, we found out that it was really old: seats not suitable for adult people in terms of width and feet space, no climate control, so that it was really hot inside the aircraft and the air was dry. Final surprise was that mid-flight flight attendants announced that “they decided not to take food aboard”. Wow! You decided not to give us what we paid for, thank you! And of course, no social distancing, the aircraft was full of people.
I guess, it’s an okay air company when there are no extreme situations.
