“Satisfied traveller despite a delay”
Review of Kenya Airways

I was disconcerted when, arrving at Ivato Airport well in time for my flight to Nairobi scheduled for 15.30 to find that it was delayed until 21.20. Six hours was a long time to kill. When we did depart (at the new scheduled time), it was explained that the delay was cause by the diversion of the aircraft resulting from extreme monsoon rains in Mumbai. These things happen! It did means tha we missed the connecting flight to Paris CDG, but after going thorough the formalities, which took a while, we were booked into the Meridian Hotel in Nairobi, which was fine and they looked after us for 24 hours until the following day's flight to Paris, which then went according to plan.

The flights were in themselves comfortable, everything in the planes worked, the food was no worse than usual on an aeroplane, the flight crew were friendly.

In all Kenya Airways made a good job of dealing with a problem that was not of their causing

Had issues earlier when flew to London but on my way back the service was amazing with polite staff.

We were in the lounge when an announcement was made the flight was delayed. The next thing we knew we were called to "final boarding". Arrived at the gate to confusion. Once we were boarded the confusion continued. Lots of chatting among staff at the doors for about 20 minutes. During that time there was no attempt to serve the business class passengers. It was a long flight. No water bottles provided which is fine because we like to try and keep things environmentally friendly but also had to ask repeatedly for glasses of water. Had to help ourselves to pillows and blankets from a bin. They ran out of 2 of the 3 choices of breakfast by row 4 in business class. The USB charger in my seat didn't work. My headphones made a loud screeching noise if I turned my head. My seat wouldn't fully recline. During take off and landing our attendant kicked off her shoes and slept. She was probably the only one on the flight that did catch a comfortable sleep. We've flown business class often and if we ever are forced to fly Kenya Air again, we'll choose economy class because it felt like that anyway.

we flew from norwich to schiphol with klm and caught a connecting flight with kenya airways to nairibi.we were only 1 hour in schiphol.the flight was spot on time and the operation was simple and smooth.once in the air the service was good and the hostesses were helpful and polite.the food was your usual in flight food.i had a brandy and coke and was most pleasantly surprised when i was served it as you recieve it in a bar!a big bottle of brandy was brought out and some poored in a glass,a healthy portion aswell,and then a big bottle of coke and the glass filled up.the landing was smooth,the off loading of the plane good and our luggage arrived in the right place and without damage.

Not bad service, in this new experience for me.
Very good service into the plain, during the fly. Clever, fast and polite service, especially in this not easy area...
Food, not bad.
Drinks without limit.
I like this experience!
