Absolute nightmare experience. A seat’s screws were faulty so instead of fixing the seat, we were made to wait for an entirely new plane. 2 hour delay. Then once we began boarding, the gate attendants stopped allowing carryons after 30 people. More than half the overhead luggage area was available. Appalled at the decision making at United. Will not fly again. What a joke.

United cancelled my flight After I was already at the airport on Christmas Day. Still waiting for my refund!!

Lost our flight from Huston to Quito. Service Center Tara Vásquez , needs to please be recognized. (Please United Supervisor). She understood our case, listened to us, checked with her supervisor for alternatives. Although we had paid for better seats they were not honoured. Nevertheless, that doesn't make our review less regarding Ms. Vásquez. Knowledgeable, calm, thoughtful, resourceful and ready to help. My family, our cat and I are thankful. She found space for us in United next flight to Quito for next day, she found a hotel for us in a pet friendly hotel and we are rested for the second portion of our trip to see family. Thank you United for hiring Tara.

I arrive at the airport with my one-year-old son. We arrived 1 hour and a half before my flight. At first, I was greeted by one of your agents and he took my bags. Up to this point, my experience was great. He informed me that I had to go to get a baby on lap boarding pass at the special assistant counter. When I arrived in the area the line was very long. I expressed my concern that I wouldn't make my flight to the lady at the begging of the line. She said and I quote "I'm sorry you have to wait in line." I told her all I need is baby on lap boarding. She said the same thing again. I went to another counter that was empty and they told me the same. After waiting for 45 minutes including I had to change my son's diaper. The majority of people who were waiting were due to strong winds so their flights were canceled but my flight was not. I finally got to the agent and she said to me and I quote "I can't believe they made you wait just for this. My flight was delayed saved us from missing the flight. If you are flying with your child alone don’t use them.

The food was not even edible. The snack boxes served in economy class were better than the food served in first class. Flight attendants were ok but lack the friendliness of other airlines.
