“Family Holiday ”
Review of Virgin Atlantic Airways

Reviewed 17 July 2019 via mobile

Just come back from Orlando, we flew at 5.35pm (there time) which meant we got in at 7am uk time. I am a bit nervous on planes but gotta say this was a great flight. We where on a jumbo and it had over 400 customers on. We had selected our seats, we where by the toilets but this meant we had no one behind us so we could put our seats back all the time. Good selection of films to suit us all, food not that great. I don’t know why they bother with the breakfast bar as hardly anyone eats it. All the staff we saw worked very hard, very professional. Bit of a nightmare getting of as we had to wait for a space, and people push you just so they can get off early, there should be a better system for this.

I've flown VS many times. They were always good, but it has been over a year since I've used them.I was very impressed. First, the Club House (business class lounge) in Heathrow is excellent, and has always been one of the best lounges in my opinion. The flight itself was very good, the food was amazingly good, and way too much of it. The seat is the only complaint, not the best business class seat, but the inflight service well makes up for that. They have done a good job upping their game, and compared to BA, there is no contest. Virgin wins.

It was my first flight with Virgin and I was a little worried about switching terminals in LHR, but that was no problem.
The flight itself was great. The personal was super friendly, the seats on premium eco are spacious and comfortable, no complaints about the entertainment. But the best thing was the food. At least one gluten free meal and one vegetarian to choose from. Quality was like business class usually is, served with silver ware and real glass. The highlight was the 5 o'clock tea before arrival in Miami. Scones with clotted cream, eclairs and sandwich, served with a (real) pot of tea.
On the way beach slept like a baby. I hope I get possibility too fly them again.

Totally worth it to fly this class of service you never want to get off of the plane lol! The seats turn in to really comfy full beds and the flight attendants help you with everything. I flew on this flight and service last year and saved a whole year to do it again! No one is snotty they are very cool and the food is amazing and you can either sleep or watch great movies or shows all night. If you can then DO IT!

Flew back on an evening trip which with time added on got us in at 7am.Was seated next to a young child who kicked and turned(sleeping) against me all night. Not the best flight I've been on but did take off and arrive on time. The stewardess allocated in economy worked her socks off dealing with everyone's needs and honestly really stopped.Food was disappointing but everyone's taste is different and soft drinks and water was regularly distributed.Last time we flew Virgin it was economy plus and believe me it will be next time.Leg space minimal and we had rows of 3,4&3 across each aisle. Why they let people's seats fall back into your small space is beyond me.
