I finally decided that I was getting a little long in the tooth to endure a long haul flight in the confines of my usual economy class so I decided to splash out on a business class seat. Given the considerable difference in cost I was expecting the experience to be memorable and I wasn’t disappointed. From checking in at Virgin’s dedicated desk and having the convenience of an exclusive security check to the superb service in their lounge and being equally well treated on the aircraft for the whole flight everything was marvellous. Cabin crew were friendly attentive and very helpful. Food and drink excellent. Already looking forward to my next flight with them.

We were to fly on Aer Lingus from SFO to Dublin and then to London Gatwick. They were overbooked for that flight and we were given the choice flying Virgin directly to LHR.
The flight was full and my wife and I got seats in different rows.
The cabin service was good and the seats reasonably comfortable.
The flight arrived on time and all our bags were already off the belt by the time we came through the Immigration.

Very smooth flight with very accommodating flight attendants.The layout of the reclining seats were nice, but there's no comparison to the comfort and privacy of Delta's 747 business class. Meals were ok..had my eye on the burger sliders was offered a vegan wrap or a sandwich..which I opted for ..It was a very large dry bun with one extremely thin slice of roast beef and a piece of cheese.I know this sounds petty, but when you pay thousands for an 8 hour trip,I would think they could a bit better planning.

When my family of five (including three kids ages 7, 10 and 13) got home from our two-week trip to London and Wales, I seriously considered emailing Richard Branson and saying thanks. The flight, the attention to detail, the food, the drinks, the high level of service and just about everything I can think of associated with the flight itself was extremely impressive.

We took a straight flight to and from LHR and while LHR and Seatac airports have some issues in terms of their standards for arrivals and departures, the 9.5 hours on the plane itself was great. Free movies and games kept the kids and parents entertained throughout, and the food was excellent (not just by airline standards, either). Others I've talked to about Virgin Atlantic rave about it as well.

It truly is a first class experience, no matter where you happen to be sitting.
