New jets great lighting. Economy delight slightly better than the lower economy. Seem to have more leg room than most air lines but it is the width of the chairs that get me. In economy if you sitting next to someone carrying a bit more meat on the bones, then you in for a long trip. Service is barely friendly but not unfriendly. Movie selection satisfactory but compared to the Middle East airlines, Virgin comes across as a non-frill airline. It had more promise in reputation than in flight. Would not be my first choice of airline.

Good news was that although the departure was delayed by 30 minutes, the pilot made up the time in flight and we weren't late arriving. The seats were not particularly comfortable and blankets were a little thin. Leg room was average, not terrible.
The staff were great though - helpful, always coming around with drinks etc. They were kind and friendly too. Not impressed with the food on flight and can't understand the point of 'high tea' at end of flight which was 10 o'clock at night!

Wonderful food and service in the Club house, however an average flight. Upper Class not completely as I recall it, having travelled mostly with Emirates over past few years in Business or First. No bar on this aircraft as crew advised it was too small for one. This was not highlighted at time of booking. Wil, try BA next time

outward bound flight was like flying in cattle class and was definitely more about getting as many people in as possible rather than any kind of customer care and comfort. child food was over complicated and fussy given how many kids are picky eaters. nothing my son would eat on the menu. The ability to recline chairs should be removed when the seats are as tight as these already are practically impossible to get in or out of seats when the person in front has them reclined. Seated lower level row 29. never again.
My return trip was on the upper deck and was vastly different experience more room and more attention fro the flight staff in terms of food and drink offering, I wouldnt travel on a long haul without the upgrade.

I understand that this is supposed to be the cheap seat, but If it wasn’t the smallest seat it was the tightest configuration of seats. It was quite uncomfortable and I’m not sure I could recommend it unless you are a waif of a person. The upgrade is a must for the regular size people. Service was wonderful, but the seats are not recommendable.
