Dreadful ,, booked premium and it was awful .. stewardesses were letting anyone in the section .. it was like a cattle market .. wall of wonder was more like a wall of misery ,, nothing on it .
No goody bag for the daughter either ..
Emirates economy is by far better then this load of rubbish
Do NOT USE THIS AIRLINE!
If I could give 0 I would. What they consider “premium” is the bare minimum standard a human being should be transported in. Economy is how I imagine veal feel. Before being slaughtered. At least there journey is shorter. And less painful than a virgin Atlantic flight. I don’t know what’s happened. I don’t know why the standards have slipped so far. I have been a staunch customer for years as the service and the experience were the best around. I honestly think the crap I order from Amazon has a better journey than virgin customers. “Premium”?. Absolute joke. Mail yourself in a box. Be more comfortable and cheaper.
Honest to god himself, I don’t know what happened to virgin. But Richard Branson his self needs to lick my feet.
An absolute disgrace. If I was you. I’d walk.
I will start with saying I have actually cancelled our flights, but.
I booked 4 upper class seats, paying extra for two 'retreat suites' for Feb 2025. A celebration of my 50th and son's 21st. This was after extensive research of their aircraft and offerings.
We received an email saying there was a change, no details of what, just a change. I had to investigate to find out they had changed the aircraft type. It should have been an A330 Neo now an A350 and on that it is their old Upper Class but even worse, they were not even paying back the extra we paid for the retreat suites.
That resulted in two phone calls, 7 days apart in which all I originally wanted was an explanation. Call one, agent gave me to their supervisor but both said they didn't have that information and would 'email' their customer care team. Automated email saying contact in 5 days and you probably guess where this is going.
Call two. Operator to supervisor (after 5 attempts) to hear the same. They cannot transfer you to customer care. Seemingly that team can not except incoming calls which makes me worry for they safety as it seems they are kept in a prison style working environment. Was told someone would call in 24 hours and...yes, you guessed it...
I did receive an email today from the infamous customer care team telling me they will change the aircraft for safety reasons. Perfectly fine if on the day of the flight but not 5+ months off!. Again, not a phone call, had it been one, I would have asked the agent for a secret sign if they needed me to contact the authorities for rescue from the dungeon it seems they are being held in.
It is not tech issue as the A330 Neo is flying two days later. This is them not using their new aircraft. We cancelled as I paid for flex and booked BA first class for a little more, but at least all of their aircraft are the same.
Would suggest not using them but if you do, pay flex as when they decide your choices are irrelevant , at least you can get all your money back!
We booked business class for our flight to and from New York. We fly business class a lot with other airlines but this is our first experience with Virgin Atlantic. While the service by crew was on par, the layout and space was awful. First, there is less storage room overhead than any international flight I have been on, let alone in business class. There is no room for any personal item such as laptop bag storage - even in coach there is underwear storage space. The lay flat beds fold over which feels like a waste of space and requires passengers to get up and adjust. All the seats face each other across the aisle, which is weird for privacy. In short, stop trying to cram so many seats into business class. Charge more if you need to but make it decent. Not flying Virgin business class again and will actively tell others not to unless things have changed.
