My friend and I stayed at the Coquelicotel for one night specifically to visit the grave of my Great Great Grandfather. The apartment that we stayed in was wonderfully clean and well appointed, we couldn't have asked for better, especially after a long trip from Paris. John was kind enough to take us to the cemetery, and help us locate the grave. He was very informative and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Coquelicotel to anyone who is looking for accommodation in Albert. Thank you Ben Taylor

John, our host, was unbelievably quick and efficient about everything, and especially helpful with information about the local area. The apartment lacked nothing, and was the most comfortable place we stayed in during our three weeks in France. John told us he had spent 12 years creating his current enterprise from the derelict building he bought, and he has done a brilliant job.

We stayed 1 night at the Coquelicotel and were not disappointed at all. We had apartment 3 and there was everything there we needed to enjoy our stay. The beds were very comfortable and outer teenage son had his own bed in the main room. The apartment is well resources with cooking utensils but we headed into Albert to enjoy a bit to eat. The host was very helpful, offering advice about local landmarks and sites to visit as well as restaurant recommendations.
Early morning traffic woke us at 7.30am but this is to be expected on the outskirts of a town.
Good value for such a great room.

We arrived in Albert with nowhere to stay. After ringing around several apartments, we called John the owner of the Coquelicotel. After some shuffling around he was able to accommodate us within the hour. This was typical of John's helpfulness through our - including spotting and helping us fix a leaky radiator on our campervan. The apartment itself was very high quality and spotless with everything you would expect and more for self contained living. The immediate area was quiet, but a very easy 10 mins bike ride back into the beautiful town of Albert. Overall a perfect hideaway !
