We were met at the airport by our host, Ron. He gave us an overview of the history and what there was to do whilst staying in Falmouth and touring Antigua & Barbuda. The apartment is tucked away down a lane, extremely quiet and safe.
The apartments are up a flight of stairs. Inside there is ample room, air conditioning, fridge and a small bathroom. If you are a little unsteady on your legs, be careful when using the `raised toilet`. We purchased fruit from the local shop and sat on the shared balcony to eat our breakfast – perfect.
Buses can be stopped at the top of the lane and will take you into town or across the island, depending where you want to go. In an evening the buses back do not run so frequently after 21:00, however, you can get a taxi back, they are not expensive.
Overall, it was a pleasant, relaxing stay.
P.s. If you enjoy coffee, take a turn left out of the lane and walk for about 10 mins. You will come across a roastery where fresh coffee is ground and made. Sit and enjoy!
