Description: On crossing the wooden bridge that leads to Ristorante Pappagallo, you will see swimming beneath there are sleek silvery tarpon, always on the lookout for scraps from the kitchen. You are thus, thrown into a world of the exotic, even before reaching the front door! Then, as you enter the spacious foyer, you're met at the front door by an African gray parrot, humorously called Humphrey Bogart. He is one of the oldest Pappagallo employees with over ten years experience in welcoming guests and posing for photos (especially with the little ones!). You will then immediately notice the inviting and well-stocked bar, decorated in an art deco style, where customers can take pre-dinner drinks or enjoy an after dinner drink in a cool and inviting atmosphere. On your right hand side, lies one of our two dining rooms, the Pappagallo Room. Inside, the impressive high ceiling will grab your attention, with its typical Mexican-style thatching. Wrought iron lights gently illuminate the air-conditioned room and huge glass-fronted bird cages feature all around the walls housing live parrots, macaws, cockatoos and African grays, all vying for your attention. The walls are also decorated with colorful pictures of parrots and a giant turtle shell which came from a 500 pound green sea turtle, which was raised in Cayman at West Bay's Turtle Farm. All this, and a great view of the waterfall cascading into the lagoon directly outside the room... how can you possibly forget that you are dining in a tropical paradise? On your left hand side of the foyer is the Flamingo Room, also with a fabulous thatched roof, this time in a traditional Cayman style. The entire roofing used 100,000 fronds and took over 6 months to construct - no mean feat. The Flamingo Room is left open to catch the cooling breeze, but is air-conditioned when the weather dictates. Here, you can enjoy a fabulous panoramic view over the lagoon. Large prints of flamingos decorate the walls and again, wrought iron lights lend their soft glow.Beyond this room lies a third eating area, the Garden Patio, a large screened- in porch where diners eat al fresco during the cooler winter months. This also has a magnificent lagoon view and Pappagallo usually caters for large parties & weddings here.

We shared the octopus appetizer which was excellent. Veal picata was very good but had a very heavy strong sauce. The tuna was cooked perfectly, but had no taste, like it had been sitting in a freezer for a while. The service was good.

We visited Italy earlier this year and we are very picky now about Italian food. Pappagallo did not disappoint!

The atmosphere looks nothing like you would expect from an Italian restaurant but don't let that deter you! The menu is well-curated, the wine list extensive, and the service delightful.

The restaurant is well laid out we had a nice view of the parrot pairs that are part of the restaurant landscape. The calamari appetizer was superb! And our meals! The Limoncello Tagliatelle was phenomenal as was my husband's Pumpkin and Amaretto Ravioli was divine!

One of my favorite restaurants on the island!

We went to this restaurant with friends, and much to our surprise, it was Apsley excellent. We got half portions for appetizers of the main entrées. What a special treat. Wine in service was phenomenal our waiter was one of the best I’ve ever had. A great end to a night. No matter where you are on the island you should go.

If you’re in for a culinary delight that will excite your mind and delight your tastebuds, there is only one place on the island to go.
Ristorante Pappagallo!
From start to finish, Andréa made us feel welcome and at home with his warm and sparkling personality, funny humor and helpful recommendations ,yet unobtrusive giving us our own space.
It was a double special occasion for us (Hubby Bday and our wedding Anniversary) We have been to Pappagallo every time we come to the island including our wedding reception for two, which was the best day of our lives! right here, yes!
The experience tonight continues to be exciting!
Although we’ve been to many places where we rush in and out, we are much more relaxed at Pappagallo and were there at our leisure.

Everything is SO fresh and even with an extensive menu, I’m know they would make anything you requested! They Want to make you happy!

We started with Canaletto cocktail to strike the celebratory mood. (Prosecco with fresh raspberry purée) Awesome! And It only got better!

Appetizers where freshly made pumpkin amaretto raviolis (Devine) and fresh caught tuna tartare (similar to tuna Poke) the Best we EVER had!! The oversized fresh salads came next, a Caesar and a Spinach salad both deliciously presented, and taste to perk the palate. Fresh fresh fresh the best!

But main courses were the most outstanding!
My Husband’s Chilean sea Bass was delectable and presented PERFECTLY as was my Creamy Lobster n Shrimp
over ‘trecce dell orto’ pasta with all the right flavors to WIN an award!
Although there didn’t seem to be any room,
We just HAD to try the dulce de leche cheese cake! It’s nothing like you can imagine so just try it! OMG!!!!
It’s easy to understand why Pappagallo is consistently top rated. everything from start to finish is executed perfectly with utmost love sincerity and culinary skills!
Just Go! You will not be disappointed!!

One of the best places to eat on the island. It’s a bit out of the way, but it’s worth making the drive out. I was there on business with a large group and the menu was fixed. I had the tenderloin which was excellent, and others had the sea bass which they all raves about. The staff was great
